Many representatives from the University Management Consortium in Japan have expressed an interest in seeing Yale and meeting alumni in different parts of the United States. YaleGALE has the opportunity to work with the Yale Clubs in New York, New Haven and Boston to showcase Yale alumni relations best practices and the culture in our cities.
YaleGALE and AYA with local Clubs will host representatives from the UMIC members November 17 - 24, 2009. The proposed itinerary is:
November 17 (Tuesday) Morning: Arrive in New York. Settle in at the Yale Club of New York and do some sightseeing in the afternoon followed by a tour of the Club. There will be an opening reception at the Yale Club.
Novmeber 18 (Wednesday)
Morning: Lecture at YCNYC about the Club. Afternoon: Travel to New Haven. Introduction to Yale in the afternoon. Stay in New Haven, possible home stays.
November 19 (Thursday) UMIC delegates will attend the AYA Assembly. Lunch in a Yale Dining Hall and dinner in Commons for the Yale Medal Dinner. Stay in New
Haven/Optional Home stay with Yale Club member
November 20 (Friday) UMIC delegates will attend the AYA Assembly. Lunch and dinner as part of Assembly. Optional Yale Glee Club concert. Stay in New Haven /Optional Home stay with Yale Club member
November 21 (Saturday) Morning: Visit the AYA tailgate for some food and fun. Afternoon: The Game!
